A date with the GS3

Well, here are the results of my one-night stand with a La Marzocco GS3 prototype.

The set-up.

Tamping hard.

Espresso porn.

More.

A short latte to finish it off.

Woot!

Tres cool that Brad set it up in the cafe for a day or two - I suggested he do it, maybe featuring single origins (so others can find out what I believe - no machine can make a SO taste good lol!), but also gave some demos to customers and clients. I imagine the machine is off to the "dark side" soon, but it's great that you guys had more of a chance to play around with the machine.

I think I know what Brad wants for his home ;)

Wow! That shot looked nice. And so did the latte. I imagine that this is not just in improvement in equipment from the old krups and what ever the hell the other machine was. It seem that drinking of one of your present lattes would be quite a different experience, compared to the past. I can't wait to taste a Pete latte.

On other fronts, Organica has hired some new people, and they are thinking of opening 2 new shops here in San Fran. Boo! I wish Eton could make every drink. I wonder what it would be like to have a Eton/ Sam Jones latte making, shot pulling showdown? I bet we'd see crazy triple art martini glass lattes and multiple drinks from various beens being lit on fire by a blow torch. Yeah, that would be cool.
